I just passed my core test, and am getting my licence in the next week. I am a bit different than most people who hunt, in the fact that I know noone who hunts. I have never hunted either....so here goes.

I live in the fraser valley, and want to hunt deer this year. My core instructor said that gang ranch in the cariboo was good, is there any other places anyone would recommend?

I know this is a question i will get flamed over, because most people like to keep their spots secret....but any info would be helpful. Even if you could just point me in the right direction/area, nothing too specific.

thanks! :)

Try up along Harrison lake's east side. Find a cutblock, sit down before light, and glass, glass and glass some more. When you think you are finished glassing, start from the beginning. It may sound boring, but it is the closest place I know to you where you might find a buck.

Good advice to go up the Harrison. If you fancy a trip you could go near Princeton or up into the Chilcotin. Public land is less of a hassle to hunt than private, if you don't know the people in the area.
