I was reading through the instructions and read if changing lubricants from CLP to another type you must degrease all parts. If I was going to use Weapon Shield also considered a CLP would this be necessary even though it may differ slightly to the brand of CLP that LMT uses?? Also another ?? I just bought a Troy muzzle break and it states that I need to use a crush washer but none came with it where would I get a proper crush washer that would stand up to the heat. Thanks

Degrease the LMT carbine and then re-lubricate with the Weapons Shield and you are good to go, Weapons Shield is not CLP and is far superior then CLP.

You might need a barrel vise block set, my LMT A2 flash hider was on with a huge amount of torque, but it was also on for awhile with lots of rounds, so maybe it was crusty. Couldnt remove it with barrel vise blocks.

I think they stated 20 lbs torque but after heating and cooling that many times it can be a PITA to remove and heat gun might of done the trick strategically placing the heat. Thanks for the heads up hopefullyit comes off easy only 60 rounds so far.:(

well if possible when securing the barrel with the handguards off, at least try and remove the gas tube so you dont twist it if you trying to do this by hand. I had to use a pipe extension and really put alot of weight into getting mine off...was suprised. Then again you hear about some that are on so light you can do it by hand.

You can get the vise blocks at brownells. If somebody has them in Canada I dont know about it.
