elk thats another story......
one fall working night shifts and doing a little hunting after the shift, I was supervising logging trucks so I got around, every night I would locate the herd but come daylight the herd was in the thick bush somewhere else. No way to get a shot, and there were a few nice big bucks out there.

Grizz, some firends and I go every fall, various areas for various animals, send me a PM or a phone call if you wish to discuss specifics. Oh, and for the Ontarians on here, bears are a varmint in Alberta as well, you don't need a licence to dispose of them on private property either. Ain't life grand? - dan

If you alrady have a win card for a fishing licence you can problably just go out and buy your hunting licence, just bring that win card. Or buy a fishing licence and when you get yor card see if you can get a hunting licnce with it. That is how my friend did it.
I do recomend taking the hunting course though.

I don't even have a WIN card (I got bored with fishing when I hit my teens) and I fully intend to take the course, right now, it's just a matter of finding the time to start making phone calls. My work hours right now kinda suck, but the pay is good!

Good luck Grizz! This will be my first year hunting deer, bear , turkey ect.
Looking forward to the fall hunt. got tags for deer, turkey( over) & Moose , just waiting to get the bear tags. I won't be joining the boys for the Moose hunt this year.. perhaps next year . And thanks to Future Hunter.. I won't be the camp slut!
