Buying a Tikka t3x Varmint in 22-250 next week, and I was looking for some advice and I have some questions. on a SFP scope, if I zero at 10x magnification, and want to use 15x magnification, would I have to rezero at the 15x? (Does your zero change as you change magnification?). I also have the option of upgrading the scope on my 6.5 Creedmoor and putting it's old one on the 22-250 (But it's a 6-25 FFP scope, probably more than what I need on it.) I've only ever had FFP scopes and I was hoping someone could give me clarification about the zeroing on SFP, as well as if I would need something more than a Vortex Viper 6-25 if I plan on taking my 6.5 out past 1000m.

Thanks in advance!

On a quality sfp, your zero should be zero threwout the mag range. But the subtensions of the reticle will change value as you zoom in and out

A 5-25 viper will get you past 1000 for optical quality , bullet and cartridge selection will determine if it had enough adjustment to do so
