Norc 10.5" AR

I just got home after firing mine and lets just say the plinkers 100metres away didn't know what hit them. it was deadly accurate and I can use the muzzle flash to light my way, the only issues I was having was the odd double feed with the PMag but no issues to speak of with the lar mags, great rifle cant wait to get an optic for it. just stay clear of jhp rounds I tried a few and you'll just get caught on your feed ramps, AE 223 works perfectly

I just got the new Norinco 10.5' CQ-A from SFRC (www.theammosource.ca) and couldn't be happier!

I don't think you can beat this black gun for the price! Fit and finish could use a little work, but overall the gun shoots amazingly well right out of the box.
Had some very tight groups at 50 yards with the standard iron sights.

This is my second Norinco AR (also have the 14.5") and I will recommend them to any shooter.

Strangely, I find my Colt AR-15 H-Bar collecting dust inside my safe. I really find these Norinco's fun to shoot! Best bang for your buck!! :ar15:

And thanks to Ryan the gang down at SFRC, they really know how to take care of their customers.

so I just bought myself a 10.5" CQ-A from theammosource.com, This is a really cool gun. I am having a few problems with it though. I've put about 500 rounds through it, im getting alot of double feeds. I have tried factory, dh mil-spec, dh- magpul followers, and magpul magazines in this thing. Ill get a good 5 mags and the next 5 will all be double feed. I thought maybe there was a break in period but 200 rounds is alot for a break in i think. can anyone help me???

I was mistaken it was a failure to eject problem not a double feed. can anyone tell me what the problem is?

Failure to eject can be caused by deficient ammo.
Make sure the ejector is running smoothly in it's hole in the bolt. Take a spent case (after putting a drop of oil on the ejector) slip it under the extractor lip and work the ejector in and out. The ejector should run smoothly with some resistance. Any roughness could be a burr.
Are you running the bolt well oiled? They enjoy having a good coat of oil on the bolt and the "rails" on the BCG. I lightly oil the firing pin and then wipe it off.

no problems here with norinco, i dont get why people cry about having to own a name brand AR, sure the lettering on the side that says MEGA or ARMALITE looks good, but you know for double the cost i will be happy with putting that money towards a second AR, oh FYI from people i have talked to that own name brands they seem to have something #### up on them alot more then my norinco, and i abuse the #### out of mine. so.....hmm whose retarded now..

response to whenindoubtfixit: Thank you for your response. Ive kept it nice and oily! i removed extractor and pin and cleaned it up better. i will be going to the range to try it out again this weekend. the ammo i run is ivi 65gr 5.56 so i do not think that that is the issue. i will be trying pmc, and winchester white box. I ordered a spare extractor and springs from wolverinesupplies and they come in a week just in case. These new norinco 10.5" rifles are really good but I heard other people are having this same problem. If its a 30 dollar fix its still a bargain!

I just bought a magpul moe handguard for my 10.5" cq-a they do not fit. ive been using a dremmel to shrink the loop that the d-ring clamps over, im thinking that the norc d-ring is too small

It will go on, with a bit of work :D I have one on mine.

I had to dremel mine a tiny bit and with a bit of elbow grease I got it on. A long skinny flathead screwdriver came in hand to pop everything in place. There is a bit of a technique too it also.

I should have mentioned that I put in the extractor upgrade kit from Buffer Technologies, Brownells sku 071-000-043WB. I believe it's the only extractor upgrade they will ship here. The AR doesn't have "strong" extraction, so for $13 it helps.
