Norc 1911 help

I guys I am sorry if this has been asked before but I can't find it anywhere. Does the .22 covertion kits fit the Norcs?

Not sure why not but I've never been able to get my Colt .22 conversion unit to go on any Norc 1911A1 frame I've tried it on.

While it works perfectly on any Series 70 or prior Colt 1911A1, Colt Gold Cup, or USGI maker [Remington Rand, Ithaca, etc] lower.

Not sure about other maker 1911 .22 conversion units, though.

I have a Colt Conversion kit on a Norinco frame. Had to have the Norinco ejector shaved down a bit as it was a bit too long (or was it too tall??) and the slide would not go all the way back on the frame.

(Colt/Norinco is the one with rosewood grips)

I had Cape Custom fit the pieces together and she works fine.

That's all good if it works for you..... But I would NEVER alter an original Colt .22 conversion unit or part thereon to "fit" or "work" with a Norinco frame.

As far as the real deal Colt .22 conversion units go.... They aren't making any more and any alteration of an original one negates any collector value.
