Norc 1911 slide "stuck"

I would like to start by saying i am new to the 1911 platform.

Got a 1911a1 new, cleaned and lubed it, then put 250 rounds though it in july.
Took to completely apart when i got home, cleaned it again, lubed it up and put back in my safe.
Last night doing the Saturday night safe shuffle, i noticed the slide won't move on the 1911.
I am very careful to oil firearms before storage so i doubt it could be corrosion sticking the slide.
It is more likely i did something stupid, although i remember working the slide after reassembly after my range trip.

any ideas?

tried it, no go
theres like 1mm movement so its not rusted shut

Take the barrel bushing off and recoil spring.

I think lejarretnoir is on to something. I had a similar situation and I recall it had something to do with the magazine though I don't exactly remember what it was specifically.

Sounds like recoil spring and guide rod,pull em out and try again unless your using omega locks?

Guide rod binded up or the slide stop not in the link.

Disassembled/reassembled, all is good, could have been barrel link fell down during last reassembly?

Sounds like you missed it, wasn't in its groove ( flipped Up ) What I do is place the gun on safe so the slide cannot move. Then use a pick to make sure the link is aligned before I put in the slide stop.

It's good practice to test functionality after reassembly. I've done the same thing before.

Can happen with a 3000.oo kimber or what ever also.
Good to ask here before you take a hammer to it, that reminds me of another gun, save that for later.

i did however give it a little tap with a rubber mallet, but because it IS A NORINCO, it is none the worse for wear

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ i'll take an accurate forged tough steel gun every day over something that looks pretty.

a rubber mallet doesn't count, with norinco; now a 2 pounder, that is a different story.
