Mine land to my side and slightly behind.
You could try adding a bit more tension to the extractor.
This right here should help. If you remove your ejector and take a little off to give it a high contact point (the red angle in the picture), it will eject the brass to the side instead of straight back. When working on the ejector, take a bit off at a time and try it until you're satisfied.Once thing you can do is hold on tight and keep the muzzle down on recoil. The circular forehead marks are kinda cute though.
