Norc 2007 M305 value?

Last I looked you can get them from the store new for ~$750, but as mentioned above with the other NR options, the demand is a lot less now.

$500-600 is a reasonable price for a bone standard.

well, I dunno about you guys but if I had a new in box 2007(or older) I wouldn't part with it for less than current retail
Same rifle gently used and minty..... 200 bucks off retail.
and I'd take a used 2007 or older at top dollar before I'd spend a dime on anything in the current retail system......

I've only seen the odd m305 under $500. $500-550 is probably fair. I've gone shopping around for a few of these lately and they all seem to be in that ballpark. I paid $600 for my last one but it came with a CASM mount and AIA mag which I sold off to recoup some funds (which I promptly spent on a usgi IDF stock and a garand rear sight lol). All these crappy ones coming in with cast bolts and receivers might work in your favor. It's an easy guarantee that it has forged parts.

M305 might not be the flavor of the month but I agree with the comment that the 2007's were a good vintage and better then current offerings.

Given the precipitous decline in quality, the current retail prices are nuts. I would not touch a new Norc. The market for M1a type rifles is not that strong at the moment it seems. More options for non restricted semis now.

I'd say $500 would be a fair asking price, $450 would be a good buy for the buyer.

Lots of other options for a 308 semi nowadays... And the M14 platform is not nearly as easy to mount optics on as the new offerings.

Cheers
Jay

I saw it for sale and know about the 2007s being better quality and wondered if the price was fair. Thanks for the info everyone.

wow...think about it before you cut it loose. I have got 2 older ones and they arent going anywhere. They are a hell of a good rifle & you wont see this quality Again.! Sure there are a lot of new NR for sale now.....but do you really think they are built as well as your 305 ? I wouldn't sell mine for under a grand. "seriously, what kinda crap will you get for $1000 these days ?" Dont let all this hype take your eyes off the prize,....the one you have already. I am not fond of any of these new problematic rifles coming out lately. Keep tried & True.

good post..... cgn needs a "like post" button

The market is what it is. Supply and demand determine price. For most people feelings don’t enter in to it. If there was any beauty in the M305 it was the price, certainly not the fit and finish. The fact that the new ones have MIM bolts doesn’t help any either.

Disagree on selling a used norc m14 for a grand.
Agree 100% on everything else though. I wish I never sold my old pride and joy m305 :(
The new "soft" bolts can be swapped for 150 bucks and checked with a no go gauge easy.
When you can get used ones all day on the EE for around 500, it's still probably the best NR semi auto rifle value wise on the market up here.
There's so ####ing many of them. Parts support for days too.
Fit and finish are irrelevant to me in any gun. They work and they are reliable. Fit and finish come dead last on my gun priority list personally. Reliability and parts support come first followed quickly by price.

I wish I could trust these rifles but mine blew up in my face despite having good headspace etc, so I just cant bring myself to trust em.

i think there are alot coming up for sale
1 abuck a shot for one ...unless you reload
2. newer designs
3 newer design's .. better mags.. mag changes
4 heavy if you are hunting with them

I guess where I'm coming from is......."if you sold it for $500 what would you get for that money.....not much. An sks rifle & a tapco stock, or a ruger 10/22, ect. Bet ya cant get another semi auto 308 for $500,...more like $2,000 bucks. Look at the price of a used mini 30.....wow, there is NO way its worth what it gets, LOL

I can still remember troting through the woods with my FN back in the day. Now that was a HEAVY rifle, LOL

I sold the FN when they became prohib & actually replaced it with the M305. same 308, same semi auto.....does that make any sense...LOL
