Is there a difference between the Norc .223 muzzle slanted brakes and the ones in 7.62x39? A friend wants one for his Norc AK 84-s in .223 but I only see ones for 7.62x39 for sale... I guess since the rifle is not going to be shot, it does not matter if the hole diameter is bigger in the 7.62 version but are the muzzle threads the same size? Would any standard AK muzzle brake fit on a .223 Norinco?

It should, unless he's got a weird model variant (none of the norincos .223's I've had/seen have slant comps....they have a "birdcage" type hider as original factory equipment). Anyways, I interchanged mine to see if it works and it does :). So he shouldn't have any worries.

It's too bad the 858 rifles aren't threaded like the AK's :(
