Norc + 45 super sanity check?

I have an unmarked government model 1911 that I've parkerized myself. It's a little sloppy, but it's an accurate shooter. I've put a 20lb recoil spring and a 30lb mainspring in it. It still cycles full power 45 acp. I'm about to load up some test 45 super with starline brass.

This setup should be good to go right? I'm not missing anything am I?

I'd work up slow. In my 460 Rowland I have I believe a 24lb recoil and a 25 or 27 mainspring, plus a flat bottom firing pin stop. I was piercing primers at about 1360fps with 230 gun fmj's. It definitely cycles quickly, even with the comp.

I don't know why you changed the Mainspring, but you should be good to go with Standard 45 ACP with up to a 22 lb Recoil Spring. That's what I use with 45-08.

...hmmm, agreed. Is duct tape recommended to seal leg and waist potential failure points?

CCI. They were definitely warm loads.
