Hi there, I have a Norinco AR that I'm trying to put a new ambi-selector in. The thing is though, when I have everything installed the selector won't go from the fire to safe position and the hammer binds. When I put the new selector into my other non-Norc AR's they work just fine. Does anyone know if any issues with the Norc triggers/selector not being interchangeable or something like that? I appreciate anyones help.

You're going to have to file one side of the "cylinder" on the selector so that it rests flat when switched to semi position but still leave enough clearance for the disconnector to raise up.

It's hard to explain.

The Norc fire selector hole is larger than "mil-spec" for one and I do believe that it is not positioned in the same place relative to the trigger group mounting position compared to standard AR's etc.

I had the exact same problem when I tried to put better quality "mil-spec" guts in my Norc AR. I had to file the selector cylinder down to allow clearance room between it and the disconnector otherwise the whole thing would just bind right up.

Send me a PM if you want more details.

Yes, I had to file the cylinder. As i recall, I had to make the flat wider.

I knew squat about the Ar when I did it, but if you look at how the parts work, you can see what has to be done. this was the only glitch I ever had at playing with the Norc parts.

I would just replace the trigger. The norc Uses a full auto type trigger open at the back . I would get a dpms trigger or something else to replace it that has a closed box semi trigger. I just hate to modify parts.
