Norc Butt Screw Issue

I got an ATI top folder butt to put on an 870 clone (Norinco) and the supplied butt screw won't thread into the action.

Before I do anything I might regret, has anybody else had this issue? I'm assuming that the screw is for a Rem and the Norc isn't a perfect copy, coming with a slightly different pitch to the threads.

Rather than trial and error it to find the right screw, hopefully somebody has the solution.

IIRC the stock bolt on the Norc is metric whereas the Rem is 1/4" fine.

Thanks. That's what I'd suspected, neither set of threads seemed damaged. But before I started running all over trying to find a different screw, figgered I'd see what other people had for experience/advice.
