Ok, went to the range today with my nib np22, only one other guy there, and funnily enough he was trying out hand loads in his lovely sig p226... So we get chatting, handling each others pistols and comparing(let's keep this clean!!!) and I have to say the new version nork is pretty darn good....apart from the stupid tactical rail they are identicle.... Weight seems pretty close..da trigger is way better on the sig, but even glen said the SA trigger was as good as the sig....

Would I have the sig if I had 800$ to blow....yes, for sure, but either I am extremely lucky, or norc are getting their act together.. At ten yards I shot a 4" group the sig did 2 1/2" , however the sig is well broken in..
If you're sitting on the fence about buying this either of these pistols (depending on your budget) .....go get one..you will not be disappointed. IMHO.
 
Or clip 2 coils off it..

I don't think there is as much Nork hate as people think. They can be a good buy for what they are....a functional rougher version of some other pistol design. The 1911's are decent with a bit of work, the SIG copies use to be known for cracked frames but they addressed it and beefed them up. For the price they are ok, but obviously they lack in the fit/finish and QC department.
 
I've had 5 Sigs (226 black, TT and ST, 220ST and 1911) as well as a Norinco NP34. Moved on to other guns now, but I'd get another 34 if came across a good deal. Mine shot quite well and I liked the smaller size.
 
I certainly don't hate Norinco's...when I was getting interested in trying 9mm to see if I liked it along came a Norinco 213 copy of the TT-33. I traded a .22 SAA revolver that had become redundant due to moving into .45 Colt for a NIB Norinco 213. Aside from an occasional failure to feed using factory reloads it is a great little gun but I have to admit that unlike many of my guns I have never taken a picture of it. It just does not inspire the kind of beaming admiration that a well crafted firearm does so it sits in the darkness of my safe waiting for another outing.
