I have an older Norinco M 305 from about 2004. Thousands of reloaded rounds through it with no issue until last week when I noticed flattened primers. I'm suspecting excessive headspace but after doing a search here found info on Federal primers being too soft. Is this so? This weekend I'm going to try out some reloads with N0 34 primers and some surplus Norinco ammo and see if the primers are flattened. In any case I want to inspect the bolt before hand. What signs should I look for on the bolt head if there is excessive pressure?
