Just wondering how exactly to remove action bars etc. from the forestock?

I just bought a Norc HP-9, the forestock is rotated a bit so that there's a gap on one side, the other side is rubbing the finish off the barrel... All it needs is to be readjusted back to center alignment but I can't figure out how to get it apart.

Under the forestock, on the side away from the action bars, there is a collar that is threaded onto the metal sleeve that's attached to the action bars and runs under the forestock/grip portion. Unscrew that collar and you should be able to slide off or adjust the forestock/grip portion. Before I had the proper tool for this I used a combination of the screw-driver end of my AR wrench and a brass punch to get into the notches and rotate it off. The tool I have now (came with the replacement Surefire fore end)is a glorified slab of metal.
