Norc M 14 upper vented hand guard

I see them pop up on the EE now and again , however i would check out brownells . I think i saw one on there in dark brown about 3 months ago , or you can try contacting springfield , i believe on of their loaded's come with one or i may be on crack ..
 
you may want to look up the reason why the vented handguard was replaced with the solid-it is indeed valid, speaking from experience , and a waste of money, imo
 
this is true; the old school original M14 came with the vented guard, then after some time in service this changed to the nadir of M14 handguard technology we see on our rifles today... unvented.

..good point; as for me I can sure get the rifle smoking using stripper clips as a speedy reloading technique...

I had thought about this option for myself, and then did the above thinking. It's all good! Have fun, enjoy your gun.
 
I have one I may part with ... hell I have a bunch of M14 stuff just collecting dust ... :D :p
