That milsurp CBC is always excellent.

THE SURPRISE!

YEP! THATS SOUTH AFRICAN MILSURP AT 200 YARDS. I never got it to shoot under 2 inches consistently at 100. Maybe it takes a while to stabilize or maybe its gremlins. Gonna spend a lot more time at 200 with it !

not to damn bad! I was shooting my slightly USGI modded Norc yesterday and was nuking 500ml H20 bottles at 150m (as far as I can see them) with irons. Bench rested mind you but I was really impressed. Great rifles imho

Nice shootin! I love that stock!

Reminds me of a graphic I saw on the history channel when they re-enacted the design of the M16. The actor was sketching out an M14 and modifying it until it resembled the M16. The first thing he did was straighten the butt.

nice to hear range reports with rifle's wearing the stocks i've whipped up. :D
I took a bone stock norc out the other day.... of course all the minor tweaks had been done... but the only "mod" was that i had it resting in my M14S-A2 tactical stock. Off hand , with irons, on one 5rnd attempt at the 230 yrd gong i nailed it 4 out of 5 :D . this one will be getting a full mod job and i'll do a proper bench test and get back to ya'all ;)

Why does this look like one of those ghastly Squires Brigham .22s from long ago? At least paint it something other than gloss black.

On the teenage decency scale, that shooting was pretty decent.

So far so good

there's no way this can do that consistently...which really is all that matters is it not?

It HAS been doing it consistently at 100 AND 200 yards with good sorted milsurp such as FNM , CBC , Dominion Arsenal etc. No surprise . I have many witnesses {some who are on gunnutz} to prove it.
The SURPRISE is the crappy 100 yd South African seems to be better at 200 yds !
And yes , what really matters is - will S/A consistantly perform that way at 200 yds. Will let you all know. Time to haul out the $1000 Bald Eagle rest again next week !

Great job Chopper!!

im glad im not the only one saying my Norcenstein hits better at 200 yrds....
yah im not crazy:dancingbanana:

when your rifle finds it's groove, you can do that kind of thing all day- which yours obviously has-i should like to see what it would do with a few years of load devlopment and match loads - my trw isreali will put the whole mag in the red(20 rounds, back when we could use them) off the bench and properly bagged
