it is absolutly mint, all the cosmoline taken off and the wood is now fantastic. it would come with a scope mount installed by a gunsmith, all the things that came with it new,even in the box, a usgi fiberglass stock that needs bedding and a 5 round mag. round count is about 80. with pickup or me delivering i would include the remaining aprox 20 SA milsurp ammo.

only thing i would keep is my scope and rings.

i really want to get a 223 bolt instead. hate to say im a wuss but i dont like recoil.

what should i ask for it? i see some prices in the EE and dont want to base it on them as i think some people are asking way too much.

Well, you're on the right track. A lot of the EE prices are out to lunch. I'd start by figuring out what everything cost you, from there.... well, only you can answer that, but I'd say slightly below your costs.
 
If you walk into a gun store, they usually have norc m14's on the rack for $450-$500 .. marstar sells them for $399 + taxes (not sure if they charge for shipping). If I'm not mistaken Marstar is currently out of stock, and if it hasn't already happened, the last shippments are going fast.

I predict a jump in norc M14 prices within a year or two. I could imagine once Marstar's supply is dry, the prices will hike up around $600 (right around where the used M1 Garand's are).

Hope that helps .. what did you have in mind for a .223 Bolt? I'm a sucker for a rem. 700 action but then again, Tikka's have been making me raise an eyebrow as of late.

gottta do some diggin at gunshows for used one. better yet find a guy who doesnt know what it is;)

A HUGE LOL AT MY PM BOX FULL OF PEOPLE WANTING A M14! ....mabye i opened a can of worms. lmao!

out of 3 major gun shows out my way..... I've seen 2 lightly used m14s rifles and they were 650.00 , bare bones, as issued but with only one shorty mag....... a guy would do far better cruisin the EE here
