anyone around yorkton thinking about M14S may want to check out
HOMEHARDWARE 145 BROADWAY STREET EAST in yorkton.
they just got in about six yesterday. $429.99 comes with one 5 round clip
I couldn't walk out without one. They also have 2 crates of SKS IN.

And that's one of the reasons I've loved Yorkton, SK !!

I drove out to Yorkton, SK specifically to blast gophers back in '97 and '98. Best road trips I've ever pulled off !!

I was in there a couple of weeks ago admiring that AR they got in.Gotta love Sask,Canadian tire doesn't even sell longarms, but Home hardware sells all the hardware you could want.hell thats where i bought my Para.:dancingbanana:
Too bad Esterlazy is so far away though.

When I was still trying to grow up the local grocery store used to sell rifles and shotguns. They were in a neat little rack in the back corner with the traps, snare wire and orange hats. The .22 ammo was up front with the cigarettes so the kids wouldn't steal them. That wasn't that long ago was it?:( God, sometimes I feel old.

I think Yorkton is the home riding of Garry Breitkruz is it not.....yeah Sask. is a good prov. for gun owners, but I don't know if it will last....the more Easteners that move out here, the sooner it will change as most Easteners are Lieberals, it used to be okay in Ont. too. I remember buying nice guns at Eatons, Home Hardware, Simpson Sears, I also remember when there were about 10 gunshops in Scarborough. There was very little violence in Scarb. then, now you don't want to go there and there aren't any gunshops!!!

Hey,I'm an easterner!Funny you should mention Sears,as I inherited a cooey bolt action 22 from my grandfather that he purchased from the sears catalouge for 20.00 back in the day.

I remember back in '86 going into a Home Hardware in Sussex, NB and admiring their racks of guns. The clerk handed me a brand new AK-47 and told me they had ordered it in special for somebody and would do the same for me if I was interested. Unfortunately I had no FAC or money at the time. Oh, to turn back the clock!

Shhhh... don't tell anybody, we want to keep it to ourselves! :)

Don't worry though, they're all moving to Alberta!

Good to know about Home Hardware there...I often travel to Winnipeg to visit family, stopping in Yorkton. Now I know where I will HAVE to drop in for a visit. Thanks - Jeff/1911.

I just received mine from Yorkton's Home Hardware today. These guys are great! It came well packaged in a Doskocil hard case, and the rifle looks fantastic. I just finished degreasing er'...hope I can sneak out to the range tomorrow.
