Hey all
Picked up my new Norc M4 this morning and took it to the range. All seemed to function well but something caught my attention.
With the firearm empty, bolt locked open and no mag, the bolt closes on it's own when the butt stock is bumped. I noticed this when I was standing the rifle in the rack at the range.
Tried to duplicate it with the mag in place but could not get it close while bumping.
Mag out, little bump on the butt, closed she goes. I could not get it to close while bumping the muzzle on a padded floor. I am thinking maybe when the butt is bumped, the inertia of bolt causes it to move backward against the buffer spring, just enough to release the pressure on the lock. Since there is no floor plate to hold the lock, it simply moves out of the way under it's own spring pressure?
I am an AR newbie. Is this normal or is my #### going to fall off?
