First of all I got this norc from the cgn dealer Moregunsupply. It came in a clear sealed bag in a normal box. First of all is this normal? Clear sealed bag for the rifle? The dealer said it is brand new and from the new batch of m4 that came in. Right of the bat i noticed the mags are ####. The stock and hand rails feel plasticly and cheap. Is there anyway you can tell what batch your norc is from? It came with some fabric in the upper and end of the barrel is this normal? (Theres a pic of it below). I cant seem to line the back and front sights up. The front sights are to high. I even tried turning the knob to make the back end of the back sights go up but it still doesn't line up. Am i retarded or am i doing it wrong? You line up the circle in the rear sight to the line thing in the front sight right? This is my first time using an m4 so i don't know alot. What is the pushy button thing do beside the ejection port and underneath the charging handle. What kind of magazine would you recommend me get and is it true that there are 10 round mags available for the m4? Thank you in advance for viewing my thread and for your help.

Yea man, don't sweat it, It's normal to come in a plastic bag.
It's got packing grease in it.

As for the "Pushy button" thing you're talking about, that's the forward assist.
It assists the bolt in reaching it's fully forward position.

This is your first time handling an M4 eh? And you've maxed out your elevation on the carry handle. bring it all the way back down and then google image M4 Sight picture.

Rock River Arms makes an LAR15 [10 rnd mag]

vincentk a few questions im just curious about.

1. why buy a AR if you knew nothing about them? Before i bought mine i downloaded and read manuals and the likes, got reviews and found one to try out before i got started in the whole black rifle game.

2. your selling you AR because your range charges you 30$ for a box of 20? That is extorsion by the way. Hell i pay 9$ for a box of 20 Winchester whitebox at my local store. Buy your ammo from a gunshop and not your range. Its a hell of alot cheaper!

What did you expect from the the most inexpensive M4 on the market?
All I can say is that you get what you pay for....

Notice I used " inexpensive" and not "cheap" so as not to offend all you Norc owners:)

hes probably a member of target sports and you can only use frangible there

hey my norc was the only ar that didnt have any issues at OST rifle course this weekend, cant say the same for the KAC, LMT, Stag, and Armalite rifles there. Norcs arent pretty but they work.

At my range target sports you have to use only there .223 ammo because it is frangible. It is against the rules to bring in your own.

TO be honest i saw pictures online and fell in love. I have decided to keep it. After calming down and realizing i can put new mags and hand guards. I had a crazy person moment because i didn't know how to use the iron sights, then i realise that you can flip up the bigger circle to line up with the front sights.

Sorry boys i decided to keep my m4. I was wondering what kind of mags you guys recommend? Also i want to change the hand guard, anyone have any recommendations? Anyone know any 22.lr or 9mm coversion i can get on for my m4?
