So what's wrong with the issue Norc mags?
Dunno, mine work - they just feel tinny (no worse than early GI though) They're the mags I use to practise reloads, because I'm not worried about them getting uglier.
So what's wrong with the issue Norc mags?
First of all I got this norc from the cgn dealer Moregunsupply. It came in a clear sealed bag in a normal box. First of all is this normal? Clear sealed bag for the rifle? The dealer said it is brand new and from the new batch of m4 that came in. Right of the bat i noticed the mags are s**t. The stock and hand rails feel plasticly and cheap. Is there anyway you can tell what batch your norc is from? It came with some fabric in the upper and end of the barrel is this normal? (Theres a pic of it below). I cant seem to line the back and front sights up. The front sights are to high. I even tried turning the knob to make the back end of the back sights go up but it still doesn't line up. Am i retarded or am i doing it wrong? You line up the circle in the rear sight to the line thing in the front sight right? This is my first time using an m4 so i don't know alot. What is the pushy button thing do beside the ejection port and underneath the charging handle. What kind of magazine would you recommend me get and is it true that there are 10 round mags available for the m4? Thank you in advance for viewing my thread and for your help.

Clear bag is how they all come
All M4 stocks and handrails feel plasticky and cheap because they are...plastic!
Fabric in the barrel is normal for the Norcs (use the search function)
I have a feeling you're not putting your cheek in the right place. Your cheek needs to be right down on the stock to see through the sights...they look fine in your pictures.
No offense but did you really ask what the "pushy button thingy" is??? Have you read anything about ARs before you made this purchase?
10 round mags...again, search this forum...hell, even Google...
Honestly though, you might want to do some reading before you bring that thing to the range...it sounds like you know absolutely nothing about ARs. I'm not trying to be an ass...I just think you need to do some studying before using live ammo!
I guess i better hit the books.
Every time it try to put a round in the plate goes lop sided and gets stuck. It doen't go smoothly down like other mags i have. and for one of them i can only fit 4 rounds in it. I think they pinned it to short. I will be getting the 10 round lar mag and the magpul mag.
There are two ways to do a press check.
One is to stuff a mag in and run the bolt. Weapon on safe and draw the bolt back just enough to see if a round has chambered. If you see brass release the bolt and strike (not press) the forward assist. Now you know for certain you have a round up the pipe.
That is the only time I use the forward assist. (on pistols I strike the rear of the slide)
The second involves pulling the mag which I think is better suited to weapons like the MP5 with their short ammo and recessed chambers.
I guess the third was with the FN P90 where we would run the bolt once then twice to make sure a round ejected, with 49 left in the mag you know you are good to go.
hey my norc was the only ar that didnt have any issues at OST rifle course this weekend, cant say the same for the KAC, LMT, Stag, and Armalite rifles there. Norcs arent pretty but they work.
