finally took the plunge into the ar world and bought a norc m4 and a bushnell red dot (the one that looks like an acog) it looks like it might co-witness the standard front sight but i'm not sure! (waiting for att) does anyone have this set up to confirm co witness or do i need some sort of riser? also is it possible to mount it on the carry handle?

thanks:)

In my opinion I think you would need some sort of riser.

Updated pic with stubby forend grip, Dlask brake and Vortex Sparc.....

I've got the same setup - works great as you can see from Zero's pic, out to a couple hundred yards - after that, I wish it had even a 4x (for service rifle), but I love the Bushnell.

I just got mine in the mail, hoping to put some rounds down range tomorrow, I've been thinking about optics but I really have no clue as to what I should buy.

Holy s#% I forgot I started this thread, I still have the Norc, reliable and accurate,as for optics that bushnell was faulty out of the box would flicker and the reticle wasn't straight. Fitted a vortex strikefire, excellent optic, then tried a bushnell 1.75-4 scope. Currently wearing bushnell trs 25 with riser. I prefer the trs, smaller dot, smaller sight, smaller price!

My friend's got the Bushcog on his AR, seemed to work. I had a Fakepoint Micro T1 on mine for the longest time, ran about 3,000 rounds through it before the dimmer started to pooch out on me. I got a replacement, but then I got a sweet deal on a real Aimpoint PRO and I'm really happy with it. Yeah, it's bigger and bulkier, but it was fairly inexpensive compared to other Aimpoints.

I got a Bushnell TRS25 as well, have it on my 10/22 and I'm thinking about trying it out on my 870. I've read that it takes the recoil like a champ. It feels pretty robust and I'm pretty happy running it.
