Norc M4 #### thread <3. (Beware, Chicom guns ITT)

Can you clairfy/explain what has been terrible about it? I'm on the fence if I should go with the 10.5" vs. 14.5"

Thanks.

I think on some of the other threads, it seems like Norinco hasn't opened up the gas port to account for the shorter barrel on the 10.5" Some owners are having problems with certain rounds not generating enough gas pressure to operate the action. Of course, in at least one case, after it was suggested that they move to a lighter buffer or better ammo, the guy switched to a heavier carbine buffer, so...

my 14.5" has had no issues, if anything, the only thing I dont like about it is its ambi dextrous fire control switch since it pokes under my finger on the other side.
FOR IT BEING 680$ ,

its run a conversion kit flawlessly,
done a box or two of winchester 555/federal 525 box of .22 with no cleaning save a few .223 rounds through per box of .22

also manages to shoot .223 pretty darn good,

that being said, its a chinese gun... 1/whatever the real number, will have something wrong, but make sure you buy from a good dealer that will swap out or has a guarantee, and your set.

that goes for all guns I guess too,

a little more if your labor is something like this

is to be expected
