Norc M93 Woodsman fun "NOW with Vids Post #20"

Thank you!

wish i had seen these before i did the disassembley fiasco last time. I see where some critical errors were made............(on my part that is)
much appreciated

I finally got around to doing a strip and clean of the packing oil in mine last weekend. I haven't shot it yet, but was cleaning some other guns and figured why the heck not. I got the norinco booklet with mine and it has a little break down on how to strip and reassemble the pistol for cleaning. Same as described in previous posts, but maybe I'll scan it and post it for everyone. Took a bit of cursing and effin' around to get it back together, but all seens well now. Can't wait to get the little beast out to the range this weekend to clean up some of that .22LR that's been crowding up my ammo storage!

Whatever you guys do don't check Youtube......
The only youtube video is only sorta helpful.

The takedown in the manual is awesome.

The problem comes when the "Magazine Catch and Sear Spring" drops out of the bottom which does not seem like much of a problem till later.

Then once you start cleaning it to get the grease off and do a good cleaning the sear pin which at first seems locked in even if you try to get it out. Comes loose during the cleaning and falls you then spend the next 3 hours trying to find the @#$%%#^@%$!%! little pin.

It all goes back together pretty easy once you review the manual to get the correct directionality of the "Magazine Catch and Sear Spring” and how it fits under “Hammer Strut” and how deep it has to go along with the relative location of the sear pin.

That said the first time putting this back together was very painful, but I was left with a very proud feeling of getting it back together.

Oddly the biggest problem was putting the “Main Spring Housing” back in as it does require force against parts you just put in even thought you are not 100% sure you put them in right. So you get this sense of doom until it snaps in and you cycle and test.

Its an adventure and I am glad I did it I just wish it had gone a little easier :)

great!!!!....and i thought my wifes ruger mark 111 was a pain to disassemble and put back together....now you guys have given me something else to think about....my M-93 should be here any day....thx guys

Its an adventure, but for a tinkerer its well worth it.

Almost forgot hold the safety in place while cleaning as it can come out and then yo have to play lego with the strut and few other parts.

i agree guys these are the best bang fer your buck,i got mine for 100 shipped (i can't believe any one would part with one).

does any one have an opinion on the
second best buy for the buck.

(i am betting it would be an evil norinco product)

For me the best bang for the buck is Glock. They have one of the best selections if not the best selection of after market accessories remarkable reliability. The only part I have had to replace on my glock has been the recoil spring and even then it did not break and is still in my spare parts kit.
