Norc NP-28 Compatible with other 1911???

Hey Guys, Just wondering if anyone can help me out. I wanted to know if all 1911 parts are compatible with my Norinco NP-28?

Yep, it is a hicap magazine.

You are asking about parts interchangeability on a Norinco that is a 9mm and is also a high capacity.

Some stuff will fit, alot of stuff won't fit the double stack norks.....

I want to thank you for your interest in my thread. However, you did not enlighten me on your vast knowledge of 1911's or should I rephrase that to indicate my "Norico NP-28 highcap which is a 9mm Semi-Auto". I wish I only had a small percentage of your intellect when it comes to my Norinco NP-28 as you made it aware that you have limited knowledge on my question, so why reply???? Or please indicate what I can change out without sarcasm.



I am searching for some information not battery from fellow CGN's. If anyone can help. I would appreciate it.

In no way was I trying to be sarcastic. I was merely trying to make sure that my post was clear in what I was saying & asking. No sarcasm was intended at all.

Remember though , you were the one one said " I know the question is pretty vague ".

Gunnar at ARMCO would be best qualified to give you more precise details. The top end may be standard but 9mm and .45 top ends have many differences.
I have heard other hicap mags don't work in Norincos.

Lets see, I hope I get this right.

Parts that can be changed:
springs
pins
barrel link
guide rod
9mm bushing
hammer and strut
sear
disconnecter
all the small parts in the slide
grip panels and screws

Parts that I found that needed modifications to install:
ambi thumb safety
grip safety
back strap
mag. wells

I have not been able to find any other magazine that will fit this frame. I do not know but I think the trigger is also proprietary. I do not have a para trigger to try.
