Just got my Norinco NP-58 from Marstar and must say I'm very impressed with the fit and finish. Haven't had the pistol out to the range yet but hoping she's a shooter cause I really do enjoy the feel of it. Looking to get a 357Sig barrel in the future just for ####s n giggles also some od grips to customize it a bit. Who else has a NP-58 and what are your thoughts?

Yeah, I've got one. It's okay. Accuracy wise it can't hold a candle to my S&W 568 but it shoots... usually. I've had some issues with it though. Multiple FTFs during the breaking in period. A broken slide catch spring and broken trigger bar all within the first year. It also appears to be out of spec with a real P226 and Sig mags won't lock in place.
Yup. Slide catch spring came out on me too, within the first year. Sold mine as is and bought something of quality. You get what you pay for, and that's the last of Norinco anything for me. I like the rough "unfinished" finish unfortunately there's very little quality that comes with it.
Had the pistol out to the range today and it ran a box like a top. Accuracy leaves much to be desired but I was running commercial ammo so that doesn't say much. Shoots low and to the left but fairly consistent. Things will improve with reloading no doubt just have to buy a mould and I'm good to go. Officially hooked on the awesomeness of the 40S&W.
Looks nice with the wood grips for sure. That's all I'd really like to do with the pistol off the bat but go with some plastic od green grips just to personalized it a bit. Guess the sights could be drifted a bit to get on target.
I purchased my NP58 about two years ago now from Canada Ammo. I had to move my rear sight, and now it shoots to point of aim. I shoot mainly lead since I been casting for many years. I have done numerous tests using this pistol. Loaded with 4.5 grains of Bullseye it is deadly accurate, and shot one to two inch groups with it consistently. I also have a Ruger P94 and a Sig 229. The NP58 has out shot both of these. Some machine marks but the exterior is nice. In January 2015, broke the firing pin, just bad luck. Got it changed and keeps on shooting. Note though, that I also broke a pin in the actual Sig as well several years ago. For the price, it is well worth it. Spoke to a very competent gunsmith in the south. He told me he shoots IPSC every week, and he sees many NP22 and 58's on the range. Says only good things about them. Safe shooting

I have two np-22s and am picking up a np58 tomorrow. The np22 is as accurate a gun as any, with some minor trigger work.
I love them, sure it's not a sig226, but it's also 1/4 the price. Great starter guns. And the build quality has improved in the last ten years. Not everyone has thousands to throw on equipment so it's good to see an inexpensive option to bring people into the sport.

I have to agree on the NP 22, I was not sure how much hand gun shooting I would do so it was a solid price point. If I did not enjoy it not much to lose on a sale.
But a 1000 rnds down the pipe and no issues, and I am enjoying myself.
Spent $35 on some Wolffe springs to ease the trigger, tossed the recoil spring in because I needed to makeup the 35.00 minumum order.
Now I am putting funds aside for an actual 226, which is more about after market sights and old eyes than any issues with the Np 22.
But a 1000 rnds down the pipe and no issues, and I am enjoying myself.
