norc NP22 with sig 22lr conversion?

I was thinking of getting a Norinco NP22 (sig p226 copy) and also getting a sig 22lr conversion for it. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this? Ive read that the sig conversion doesn't work with the older p226's, And i dont know what year/version the norinco is modelled after. And before anyone says to just buy a real sig, I'm not really getting into IPSC or competition shooting, its just for 22lr plinking and the occasional 9mm, so its not like i'll be running thousands of centerfire rounds through it, if even 1000.
