After the very happy purchase of a .45 Norc 1911 from SFRC I decided to get the NP29 too.
It was a bit rougher than the .45 when stripped -- the ejector was stuck in place and needed a bit of tough love.
After an initial strip and lube with a few hundred rackings it felt nice and smooth.
I forgot to work in the mags, so much of the initial trip to the range consisted of working rounds up and down with the uplula loader. The mags were really sticky, but I only had one failure to feed. A few minutes with a couple of pencils when I got home fixed the sticky mags.
The gun was great, groupings as tight as any other pistol (except my deadly Ruger 22/45) and the trigger was fine after a hundred rounds.
Really good value for the money. I wanted a gun that I could play with and work on and this fits the bill nicely.
