Ok, I finally admitted to myself that I have subliminal feelings for an M14 in a chocolate brown synthetic stock. A little Krylon camo brown and it looks exactly how I wanted it. Except the zinc park on all the steel. I don't want to get into blasting and reparking it right now so I'm thinking the current parkerizing may just work. So to those who have painted right over it, how is it holding up and which paints did you use? I've got some VHT header paint that looks great and is super tough when heat cured. So let's see your Team Norinco paint jobs!

I've not done it myself, but from what I hear Armacoat sticks to an m305 quite well without the need for blasting.

i simply cleaned the rifle with some rubbing alcohol and then sprayed it with three light base coats of odgreen krylon followed by sponging on other colours of krylon to breakup the outline. waiting 60 minutes between each coat. finally added three light coats of krylon matte clear coat after allowing the paint to dry a full 48 hours. after 400 shots the only wear is showing up on the bolt near contact points.

williamspindle where did you get your buttstock pad? I like the look of it, and it would be great on a few of my rifles. Is the ammo holder reversable?
