These people are ridiculous. Something gets classed non restricted and they think suddenly overnight guns from China will appear on retailers shelves.
Any ideas on a timeline?
Hello reliable,
I know there are tons other thread about it everywhere on CGN, but I like to ask because I like to keep my money within the city! Will you guys bring them in? can we start a pre-order list?
i don't really care about the price, and I know its about 8-12 months out.
Here's a piece of info you guys can use.
When the USA banned all Norinco imports in the late 80's and early 90's, most of the guns that were destined to be sold in the states were shelved and stored in warehouses until very recently. All of those Norinco M1911A1's and cheap .22 plinkers and the sort were unearthed by Canada Ammo and brought over here to be sold.
Could there have been some semi automatic Type 81's that are holed up in musty storage somewhere in China? Probably. It might be worth looking into.

Even if you have NOS guns ready to be shipped out built from the 80s, they will not match the ones legal to be sold here unless redone with new receivers.
How does this even happen? Someone just forgot about go knows how much money worth of inventory and never bothered finding a buyer for it?
These are made in state run factories. Our market share is peanuts compared to some of the other stuff exported globally by the chinese. A warehouse of type 81 or type 84 is not a big deal. The plus side is if they unlock something like this we could be getting them for cheap.
^^ he is got a point.I guarantee that if this mythical warehouse exists, then all the guns in it have the standard 17.9" barrel, not an 18.6" Canada-legal barrel, and thus would be restricted. The reason for this is the barrel cutoff for SBRs in the US is 16". If they were made for the US, then it's US restrictions they'd care about, not ours.
