I just got mine for 165 and a crate of ammo for 170 and its a damn fun gun to shoot. Dirt cheap ammo, reliable and really fun. Its not a AR-15 or a high priced rifle, but its fun as hell.
MilArm currently has some.

I was about to get a second SKS, but I fell in love with a 14" Norinco shotgun I saw here that came up for sale.

Will I Am said:Norc's can be great, there are sks-d's out there to be found!, in used fashion although now adays...great zombie gun!
emmab said:X2 on that! The SKS can't be beat for plain old fun. But once you get hooked to semi automatics,....Look out ...and bring your wallet!!

Never heard about this.... are we talkin' SKS-D's? How do you identify and SKS that was part of the bad batch? What was going wrong with them?Steiner said:Like the Scarecrow said. I think the bad batch of SKS's is long gone and probably won't happen again. It was that one batch that gave SKS a sour reputation for awhile.
