Maybe a simple question, but forgive my ignornace.

Before I drop $200+ on a Trigger Tech trigger, will it fit into my Norc CQ? I would imagine so, but I keep reading about mil spec triggers, and have also read the norc is commecial spec. My understanding is that this is surrounding the buffer tube, but I would like to make sure.

Thanks, and once again, please go easy on me.

I am pretty sure you would have no problem with the trigger group. As you stated, the Nork has a commercial buffer tube extension or whatever, so careful when selecting stocks. It also, I believe has a non f marked fsb and commercial carry handle. the norinco was an amazing value ar15, and still is. Other than a few parts that needed tightening and the junk magazines mine is great and fun to shoot.

BTW the trigger tech is great. Well worth it. I have one in my sa20 and it was possibly the best upgrade, other than optics, that I have ever put on any rifle.

Maybe I lucked out, as far as rack grade AR/M4 triggers go, my norc trigger is actually better than many of the other North American brands standard trigger in my other ARs.
Obviously no Geissele but I would be happy to use it for almost all applications.

There is no "mil-spec" or "commercial" trigger. They are all the same. What people are referring to is the receiver extension when they talk about the commercial or mil-spec dimensions.

Certain Colt lowers have a large pin trigger group (the exact size escapes me at the moment) but the Norc is mil spec, which is .154" pins in the trigger group.

I replaced the horrible Norc trigger in mine with a ALG Defence trigger. Very happy for $80.
