If the gun feeds and fires OK with factory RN ammo, but balks at Wolf SWC ammo. I'd suspect the ammo.

Not that there is anything necessarily wrong with the ammunition itself.

1911's can be picky about what bullet shape/weight they will digest, and cartridge O.A.L. can be a factor as well.

I found the lands engaged closer to the chamber then my 1911A1 there fore some ammo even round nose would not chamber well. The gun would load but be out of battery. I need to cast a different sort of bullet so my 1911C would function.

Which model is it? Single stack full length or compact [commander] or is it the double stack model?

I have one of the newer compacts [commander] and it eats everything I feed it. Including factory Fiocchi 230 JHP's that it seems to like the best.

Sounds to me like there is a sizing issue on the brass of those SWC loads. They are just a tad oversize and not going fully into battery when feeding into the barrel. I've seen it before, usually with reloads, though. You can test to see if this is true by disassembling your pistol and manually dropping some of the rounds into the barrel. If they go in easily then they're okay. But if they are too snug to readily drop in then there is a sizing issue with them.

1911's were designed for roundnose, my previous 1911 balked at SWC, but my new one takes them when I extended the OAL a little bit. Each gun is different.
