Nordegg alberta Shoot

The area we are going is good for bears. I have seen well over twenty blackies in the past five years and lots that would square out at six foot or better

Thanks steve just what I wanted to hear, sleeping in a tent/ziplock bag for bears!! Is it true they lick you a couple of times before they chow down? Give me a chance to load! I'm off to Nordegg!

It's high grade rite up to the shooting area no worries with that but this is Alberta and spring so we might just end up with two feet of snow. Just cause there is a shoot planned out

Well, we're heading out shortly.
Just in case theres 4 feet of snow or something really drastic, let me know, 780-614-1974.

'Course I'm sure Hughie will be sitting there anyway......he'll need some company.

Damn! Doubt I'll make it today. Had to give up my truck so my girl good get out of the driveway and to work. Cars are useless! 14" of snow so far and still coming down!! Jesus! Will spring ever come?! If it's not too late when she gets back I'll make my way but I'll probably leave early, early tomorrow morning.

I hear you.. My GF finally broke down and bought a kind of 4X4 ( Furd Escape) after I bugged her since summer to get one now that she is living in the country..

Now I am off to reset my dies.. Stupid Forester crossbolt lock rings.. GRRRRRRRR..

Well there was two flat tires out of the group. Lots of mud lots of rounds down range I think just about everyone hit the 1350 mark Oh there was some more mud. And overall it was a great shoot with a great bunch of guys.and for me the best part of the day was hitting 1350 with my 308

i would like to see it made a few times this year but i would like to find a cut block that is a little flatter cause we lost out from 700 up to 1100 for targets, even tho this spot was good and more or less blocked some wind

Had fun guys, thanks for setting it up. I hope when I get my set up running it turns out as much fun. Now I have to hit a target past 1200 with my 308 thanks to steve. Hmm how much up for 1400, tehehe. Must hit 14 before starting house.
Max, Friday morning there was 3.5 inches of snow.
Mountain man needs shower!! The betterhalf says.
Anyone sitting on the fence wondering if this is something you would like to try. There are many people shooting long range with all kinds of different calibers. You would be suprised how far your 270, 308 or 300wm will reach. You just can't shoot as many rounds in a row as a heavy barrel. Ya hafta start somewhere. The smile says it all when the gong sounds at 300 yards or 500, or 900, or farther yet. The comraderie is awesome!!

Now the pics!
At the far hill you see the 1365 yd target and in front of it the 1200 yd target. On the closer hill you see on the left the 630 yd target and then the 500 on the oposite side, then the 400, can't see the 300. Oh there is one at 150 on the left.

It was a great time and nice to finally meet all of you. We should get together more often and make this shoot atleast a bi-annual event! Thanks to everybody that brought the gongs and set up ahead of everyone to make this shoot possible!

Yes, it was a great time.
Big thank-you to Steve, Fred and Tracey for all the work, they put a great deal of effort into it.
I would definitely show up for another, especially if the ground is dry....
Was great to meet everyone, and look forward to seeing many of you in July.
