Were you near Princton/Drumbo either Monday or Tuesday?
Hopefully the guy pulls through. I'd really like the details on how this went down as it's hard to fathom how one could be shot when wearing orange. The controlled hunt, often with drives and fast action shooting, has the potential to be dangerous if hunters don't use their heads.
I went past drumbo (about 2 miles north of it) on Tuesday around 9am. There’s a little grass airstrip right on the right-of-way there, where I saw 3 or 4 blockers in orange set up right on the edge of the strip. Just north of township road 10, and oxford road 3. If that wasn’t you, then you probably just saw one of our other training aircraft out and about. One of our 3 designated practice areas is over Princeton and drumbo.
As to the hunter that was shot, there’s been precious little follow up. I live in the area, but have heard nothing. A close freind runs the local radio station, and I’ve sent a message to see if there’s anything forthcoming. Haven’t heard back yet. I’ll update you if I do.
