Would also be interested in a 20" barrel , I wonder how far reliability goes with these norinco side by sides. I'm assuming since it's not a complexe mechanical piece it should be be somewhat reliable.

I am resurrecting an old tread. I am concerned that when I have my coach gun out and about, police may hassle me for the barrel length. I have documentation for my ranch hand. Has anyone seen a canadian firearms centre document classifying this as a non restricted? I would like to carry it when I carry the shotgun.

According to the Criminal Code, a restricted firearm is:
- a handgun that is not a prohibited firearm,
- a firearm that :
is not a prohibited firearm,
has a barrel less than 470 mm in length AND is capable of discharging centre-fire ammunition in a semi-automatic manner,
- a firearm that is designed or adapted to be fired when reduced to a length of less than 660 mm by folding, telescoping or otherwise, or
- a firearm of any other kind that is prescribed to be a restricted firearm
Mesure the overall length of your coach gun, shoudlnt be less than 26 inches, else its restricted.
