Do any of you guys know who has this in stock and sells them? Marstar has a listing but no stock. I did a search on them nothing to date. The discussion about this was from 2006. No real talk about them now. Guess not much demand in order for Marstar to import them. Maybe someone from marstar will answer this thread. Is it worth making a phone call to Marstar? I have had good service in the past from them. Thank you Age

John said a few months back that they have more of the 1887 copies coming in the next load of containers - first quarter of 08 I think he said.

what guage do they come in? i have only ever seen a lever shotgun in 410. i would love to get one can you please post the site where a fella could find his bad self one of those!

I hear the quality is lacking, even for Norinco. I still want one...

I have to tinker with my extractors one of these evenings (might just try going with a heavier spring) but other than that I'm impressed by mine. Better put together than other Norinco's I've had.

I stand corrected. Any other problems at all with the internals?

Other than the problems with the extractors (not extracting relaibly - but like I said, I think it should be a quick fix) she's fired everything she's been fed relaibly. If I get it working 100% reliable I think I might have the barrel tapped for chokes and hunt with it next fall.
You can slam through 7 rounds (5 in the tube, 1 on the "lifter" and 1 in the tube) pretty quick. Patterned not too bad with slugs too.

Here are a couple more pics for those not familiar with the action of an 1887.

i went on the marstar site and the gun is actually a 12 guage, i have never heard of marstar before and they are in ontario great i have never heard of vankleek though. $399.00 plus tax. they are currently out of stock. thanks for the info.

I'm curious about these.
How the hell do you load them? I ran a quick search on Google, and they show guys shooting them, but not how they load them.

(E)

With the action open, you just push down the lifter and feed them into the mag tube from there. If I think of it I'll take some pictures tomorrow with some dummy ammo.

Echo, here is the loading process.

The first couple of pics are how the "lifter" operates.

008-11.jpg

The lever opened, lifter down

010-15.jpg

Action open, and lever hinged forward to bring up the lifter

011-14.jpg

Put the shell on the lifter

012-8.jpg

Press down

013-12.jpg

And push into the mag tube (repeat as needed :D )

014-15.jpg

Close the action (chamber is empty)

015-12.jpg

Open action and pivot lever forward on hinge to engage the lifter

016-10.jpg

Close the action.

And after replacing the extractor spring (or rather making a spring and then using it as a replacement) and a couple of strokes with a bastard file to round off the outside edge of the extractor, she's working like a top.
