Saw some references yesterday about Norinco producing a Winchester 1887 copy. I assume this has/is being produced. Does anyone know if there are any in Canada?
CANUCKLEHEAD: I looked on the MARSTAR site and never saw anything on the 1887 LEVER ACTION WINCHESTER copy that NORINCO and others have tried to make. Is there any info located in the MARSTAR site other than NORINCO SHOTGUNS, sometimes MARSTAR will add something in a list of new products and not really highlight the new product, probably because it may mean radically altering their website.
Interstate Arms is the Norinco distributor down in the US, a loophole used to continue to get Norinco stuff in after the Clinton ban on the Chinese firearms.
As well, read at the bottom of the page in the following link:
www.sirmailorder.com has had them in their catalogue for a couple of years but I have asked and nobody has one. I just did a check and it is not listed a SIR anymore, I guess they ordered some and they didn't arrive or were on backorder. There has been talk and articles about this gun for about 10 years now, I believe it was TRISTAR in AUSTRALIA that was listed as the first supplier/builder?. I would be a nice fun gun .
HOWDY; Check the SASS wire at www.sassnet.com There is a long waiting list with deposits . Some 1887 are coming in at a higher price than was ordered TWO yaers ago.
Coyotecap is the only current source ,he fronted the money and went to China to get it done.
Well the good thing Vicious is that we live in Canada, and when it comes to the US, we tend to get the Norinco stuff with more ease then they do. I emailed Marstar a couple weeks ago now and Jill replied to check in a month or two.
