norinco 1897 wood

Can the wood be swapped with standard winchester 1897 wood? What's the difference in the "3 hole" and "no hole" pump?

I swapped out 97 wood for the Norinco wood. It did take some patience and a little fitting. Some 97's have two screws securing the fore end. The Norinco does not. You will want the 97 wood without holes. I ordered my wood from Numrich gun parts. It was walnut and fit really well. The butt came with a butt plate. It wasn't too expensive. Gun looked great after the change.
