Norinco 1897

I hope this is the right forum for this post! ... I also apologize in advance if this question has been asked a dozen times before!

I just bought the Norinco 1897 that is currently near the top of the Shotgun EE off of Brickie. I have always wanted to buy an 1897 but have left it too long as the Winchesters seem to have soared a bit in price during the last year.

My question is:

Does anyone own one? are they okay guns? I'm not putting dinner on the table with it, granted, but I like my toys to function well.

Got it for $300 shipped... I think that is a good price...?

Yes, I have the trenchgun version.

For fun I ran it through an entire shotgun course and it performed just as well as any new 870 and such.
It will slamfire no problem.

Just remember to tighten all them little screws. Some will work themselves out after putting rounds through her.

ahhhhh the trench gun version! My buddy and I have been on the waiting list for two of those over at Marstar for a year now! I wish I was getting the Trench gun version!! apparently one can purchase just the bayonet lug and heat shield to convert the ''riot'' version

anyway, thank you so much for the feedback! I look forward to getting her! I have a really nice 870 ... I don't know what I am going to do with 2 pump shotguns ... ? oh well
