Drop in (hooks over the screws - I actually like the original mainspring cover - comfortable for my hands). Longest part of the installation was shaving out the underside the grips to sit flat on the butt. Snug enough it had to be lightly set with a hammer. The only negative is that two of my mags have full width butt pads which won't fit in the well... :mad: Now I guess I AM going to have buy some Wilson mags... :)
