Hi,

I have a Norinco 1911 A1 "Two Tone Sport" Model. I am unhappy with the current front sight that came with it. (see below picture)

I would like to replace the current front sight with a fiber optic sight (like the other pic below).

I have a couple of questions:

Does anyone know what kind of cut/type of front sight is on the gun?

How hard would it be to press out the current sight and press in the new one? ( I have access to a machine shop)

Any info would be appreciated because I will be ordering a new front sight soon and would like to order the correct one.

Thanks a lot!

I had mine two tone done by a gun smith Bomar adjustable on the back fibre optic on the front. It makes a huge difference in the gun.Try some of the dealers on here they should know what fits.

My 2 cents. I put a true glow firesite on my .45-70 rifle. Great sight. Too bad it broke in less than a day. The fibre optic piece was real flimsy. If your rough on your stuff concider something like a trijicon instead. Hope that helps.

Keep shootin'
