Norinco 1911 Frame plus quality parts?

I was hoping you boys could educate me in building my own 1911 or rather making a frankenstien 1911 using a Norinco frame.

If I was to purchase a Norinco 1911 frame would the rest of the parts needed from other manufacturers fit the frame?

Where would I look for the other part's within Canada to complete the gun?

Any tips would be helpful.

I have nothing but great success adding parts from Brownells (and other CGNutz sponsoring dealers) for my 4 Norinco M1911 platforms owner over the years. All good fit, no bad surprises !! As long as they are all single stack 1911 parts, you are good to go. The Kommunists got the 1911 reverse technology right , this time. :rolleyes:

Wilson Combat works with the Norinco guns and they don't work on all 1911's so they can't be all bad. Fully customized they are as good as any out there. Certainly the frames and slides take a back seat to nobody.

Yet to have any problems with either my Dlask Customized full size or Armco's work on my Commander.

Ignorance is bliss. Let the boys spend 3 times as much for a Springer GI model and have half the gun you got. Like the guys in Brazil have a lock on how to make a 1911.

I've built on two Norincos, and highly recommend it. The first was a 1911 compact that I ended up selling (and should have kept). The latest is the full size gun below. Gun by Norinco, parts from Brownells, work by me. Cost of gun: $250.00. Cost of parts: $150.00. Building a Norinco that shoots better than my last Kimber: priceless. :p

I've owned (own) Colt, Kimber, Para, Norinco, and I'm not bashing anyone...I just happened to get a Kimber that was not worth what I paid for it. YMMV.
