Unfortunately, likely never - earlier (I believe) in this epic thread, the news that the only carrier that was bringing the ammo from China was getting out of the business. As a result, ultra-cheap ammo from the PRC is likely to become next to non-existent, sadly.

ME TOO, and what all do you have done to it, very nice! Where did you get the magwell/backstrap in stainless or aluminum? This is what you can do with an unmarked pistol,, your own labeling,, cool!

A friend has a laser etching machine. He is also very good with 1911s in every aspect. I had the guide rod/bushing, trigger, sear, safety, hammer, beaver tail, and mainspring housing/magwell (stainless), changed.

Yes, Any part except the frame. As the frame is where you find the serial number it is legally "the gun"

OK guys I just got in touch with my friend. He has a website that is almost done and is willing to work on slides or any parts that aren't actually the frame. He has great attention to detail. I am so impressed with his work!
