the magazines i ordered from marstar arrived first and are taunting me.
 
I bought one today and it did ask for date of birth and city of birth on the form I filled out. Maybe you have to have an account with them for it to show up and not just fill it out as a guest.

just a total noob question, but, how many mags come with this package? I know it says 2 mags but does that mean 2 extra? or 1 with the 1911 and one extra on the side? or 1 with the 1911 and 2 on the side?

I've checked in on this thread almost on a daily basis... I keep waiting for a "Sold Out" message from CanAm, so I can say, "Damn, I missed this one!" and save some money.

Looks like I'm going to be ordering one. I really only want the ammo as I already have a Norinco 1911 - but I'm not going to turn down a cheap 1911/ammo deal.

This deal won't break the bank for me... but damn I hate to see my bank account $500+ lighter!

Tell you what. You buy the deal and we will split. You pay for the ammo and I will pay for the gun. You just have to pay the regular 329 for the case. Plus tax too. So I will chip in the rest. I mean ou don't want another 1911 for 179 bucks do you?

overall, what can you expect from a gun that cost $350 bucks?
i haven't lubed it up yet just put it back together quick for some quick pics.

has a half sized guide rod and it's FRIGGIN hard to pull the slide back. Super tight, no play in the slide.
Trigger is nice
grip safety is nice
the spring thingy (don't know the real name) the one on the side of the 1911 for the safety and slide lock pin is SUPER hard so the safety and push pin are hard to put in. Hopefully Frog Lube fixes it up.

Found one random piece of metal so far.
Edges aren't super sharp.


Happy with my purchase, if i like 1911s im going to be looking into name brand one.
