Checked my email (for the third time today) after getting excited looking at those pics. Received status update, its with the CFC!

Ordered on the 23rd.

Thanks CanAm for the great deal!

Nice Pics! I have not owed a Norc 1911 but am looking forward to it and more forward to shooting some of that Norc 45 through it :)

overall, what can you expect from a gun that cost $350 bucks?
i haven't lubed it up yet just put it back together quick for some quick pics.

has a half sized guide rod and it's FRIGGIN hard to pull the slide back. Super tight, no play in the slide.
Trigger is nice
grip safety is nice
the spring thingy (don't know the real name) the one on the side of the 1911 for the safety and slide lock pin is SUPER hard so the safety and push pin are hard to put in. Hopefully Frog Lube fixes it up.

Found one random piece of metal so far.
Edges aren't super sharp.

are the sights centered? this is my biggest gripe with norincos, the guy who puts on the sights sometimes doesnt get the damn concept of aim

Not positive about the shipping as I have never received anything via Canada post from them. It's always been canpar

The sites. Seem okay for now. Although on the slide there is a line at the back sites right in the middle . On the back sites themselves there's also a middle line. Seems to be a hair off. I may just move it before headed to the range.

Sites. Hard to see. Might need to fill these in or replace the sites. After applying Frog Lube CLP treatment I noticed this slide racks easier now. Still hard when racking the slide fresh though.

Hammer itself seems stiff I think this is why it's so hard to rack the slide.

Also when I put frog lube CLP on the mags I noticed when I rubbed them clean and noticed some brown residue coming off. Upon close inspection the springs in the mag have a little bit of rust. Same with the barrel around the area where the locking pin goes through.

After holding it more yeah definitely no other way to put it but god damn this gun is rough! Anyone have any suggestions about sanding methods I should use?

I don't really care about the finish. It's pretty ugly already. Grips definitely need to be changed. Not sure how it will shoot but the mags drop free although it seems very hard to load them. BUT this is my first experience with a 1911

Tested out with my snap caps. First two failed to return to battery. Could have been limp wrist I don't remember how I held the gun. Never had that issue with my glock though. Though they extracted fine when I racked the slide. Second two failed to extract. Removed manually. Reloaded tested again. Failed to extract. Tested two more times all failed to extract.

Possibly due to the fact they are snap caps.

Ay suggestions on fine tuning this gun? Please keep in mind I'm not a gunsmith or professional :D

Happy with my purchase, if i like 1911s im going to be looking into name brand one.

Thanks for sharing the pics. I'm sure EE will be full of Norc 1911s in the next few months. Its a gate way 1911. lol

Not the fastest company to process order but well with this kind of deal, who cares if we have to wait for a week or more for the order just to be looked at. But for a regular order though, I personally won't recommend Canadaammo for their slowness....
