good no presale .. well at least discuss the issue with the customer! however, you have raised the interests of the customer in concern of being paid for " special ammo combo" and escalation of no shipment/transfer in a fashionable time frame. whether this is your problem or not, will reflect on future sales...and I'm sure you will... the next time there will be transfer started at the buyers end as well .. so be prepared to provide the info such as your license number and contact persona... the cfo want to know where these weapons are.. just saying... :0)
 
Got mine. Ordered April 25. Shipping notification yesterday (June 13) and it was sitting at home when I got back from work.

Mine is like most of the others .... cracked grips but all else is good. Slide action seems stiff but a few hundred rounds should take care of that. My trigger pull is a bit heavy but smooth.

Basic clean (everywhere) with Gunk cleaner .... then some Rem oil. Finally a light wipe with a silicone cloth and voila....my first 1911 and my first 45. Now I just wait for the reg papers and I'll be at the range. Only one pic really came out.

I received my order Tuesday, had to get surgery done on my wrist Wednesday morning hahaha I have to wait at least 2 more weeks before I hit the range, oh well it is what it is lol.
 
Hey Can Am....sent an email 2 days ago concerning order #3959058 (a scanned image of the actual firearm transfer notification (buyer) ) but still no answer to this email, or any updates yet.

I know you literally have a TON of orders to process but I need to know where's my gun ;-)

Joking apart, any update on my order would be much appreciated!

Guys, here's a tip:

When you contact CanAm via email about your order status, once you've confirmed with the CFO that it's been approved, attach a copy of the transfer notification (the CFO can email it to you) so you don't have to wait for CanAm to look for it in their faxes. I did this and they shipped it out 2 days after I emailed them to check on my order.

Or... you can just wait for it to be processed, which it will, eventually.

I'm not cutting them slack because I think they should hire more people to do the admin/paper work, but really, don't you guys that complain have other things in life to worry about? Other guns to play with? etc etc. Chill. Life's too short to get upset over something like this. It's not a life-or-death thing.

Not complaining or #####in' of any sorts, don't mislead me my friend. Just askin' about an update, since I sent out an email already 2 days ago with the transfer notice attached to it. But still no answers. And since the pistol is registered to me, it's just normal to know how things are going with it...no bad feelings intended, I know they have a lot of job and that I'm not the only customer and aknowledged that some people had placed orders before I did....but transfer is completed and simply want a "head's up" :)
 
Cleaned mine up and put some new grips on. A nice looking GI for a great price. Trigger pull is very heavy due to perhaps too heavy a main spring - easy fix. This .45 is much better out of the box than my NP29 except for broken grip. Think I'll keep her for a while and see how she shoots.

I received my pistol 3 hours after my shipping notice this morning. I am still waiting for reg certs from CFC. Time frame from transfer of info to CFC (May 21st) to firearm in hands (June 14th) is 3 weeks plus 2 days. Thanks again CanAm, You guys and gals are awesome

Got the shipping notices and the next day after each, June 11th and 13th respectively, my pistols were delivered. Had them at the range yesterday. Big grin :) I only wiped down the outsides and pulled a rag through the barrels before I fired them. Had to assist the slide closed on the first round for each but after that they both functioned perfectly. Only put 105 rounds through one and 70 rounds through the other.

I ordered back in April and only just now received my orders. Maybe I am from a different generation or something but I was able to sit back and wait without having to email or call. Imagine if everyone called asking for updates, how much would that slow things down? As others have said it's not the end of the world if your pistol doesn't arrive today. First world problems.

My transfer made date was May 22, 2013 With order date April 26, 2013 Did you have to rag on anyone to get yours??????
 
I got my shipping order today! Not once did I have to contact anyone at the CFC or whine to CanAm with an order number or complain to a myriad of strangers online. I guess playin the CHILL THE F**K OUT game payed off.

Thanks for the great deal CanAm! I'm gonna shoot the balls off this pistol! :)
