Just a update on my " Gun Broke" post. I e-mailed Canada Ammo yesterday and Daniel Ryan e-mailed me a Canada Post shipping label and they will either repair or replace??? Also Canpar dropped off another 1000 rds. of norinco 45 acp and my $100 + $12 tax store credit from the 7.62x51 pricing differance was used. What can I say?? I just feel like shooting and buying more.

Cool
Maybe we can advertise some Canam specials in the Marstar forum f:P:
lol
maybe but this deal ended pretty quick at marstar !!! I was lucky to see it ;the one pistol alone is retail$700 and the other is $400 ,, I thought it was a good deal I always wanted a .38 and a .357 couldn't be happier

marstar still made a lot of money on that "deal" that was up for many many many months

Damn, missed the delivery today while driving home from Calgary.. Oh well, there is always tomorrow! Can't wait to get this pistol to start getting my hands dirty with 1911 customization! Would much rather practice techniques on a norc than one of my nicer 1911's lol!

just got mine in with no broken grips, I have new cocobolo wood grips anyway. trigger is much nicer than my older norc np58.
thanks again canam

Ordered 30/05/13
Acknowledged 04/06/13
Approved by the CFC 20/06/13
Shipped by Canada Ammo 07/03/13
Arrived 09/07/13

Condition: Excellent other than the chinese funky grease. Needs a good cleaning and greasing.

I did get on the shipping department because I thought they were taking too long to ship. It seems I was wrong. Sorry.

Good Deal. Thanks.

Definitely needs better grips.

Does anyone know what the story on these pistols is? I've heard that they were a military contract that went bad which is why no "Norinco" or "Made in China" markings. Does anyone know if this is true or which country they were made for? Anyone have any solid idea of how many of these pistols Can Am picked up?

I've been told they were made for the us marines, and that there wasn't many of them available. Like 50 of them. My source might not be very reliable, though. But, if any one asks, that's my answer.

1. ASAIK, for whom they were originally made has not been disclosed .
2. I believe CanAm themselves said in this thread that they were from a 1997 military order that was cancelled but no reason for why the order was cancelled was given.
3. I believe a previous poster said the CFC disclosed that CanAm brought in 3000 units.

Just received my second combo, ordered this one June 18th, arrived July 9th! Looks like Can Am might be starting to catch up on the backlog of orders.

there is no way this is remotely right
